Prenatal Vitamin Ingredients

I was prescibed a prenatal vitamin and I was wondering what vitamins are in them.  The bottle reads PNV-DHA CAP ACE.  The pills are large, blue, oval shaped and have a BP 321 on them.  This is my first pregnancy and I'm making sure I'm getting the right vitamins.

If you read the back of the label, it lists all the vitamins in the prenatal and what percentage of the recommended daily requirement of that vitamin it is.

I was prescribed the same exact prenatal vitamins and there is no label on the back because it comes in the pharmacy bottle.  I had been taking Nature Made Prenatal vitamins with DHA and when I asked the nurse what the difference was between the presription and the OTC I was already taking, her answer was the prescription has 1000 mcg of folic acid compared to the 800 mcg that were in the Nature Made.  It also has a higher content of DHA.  This doesn't answer your question really and I've wanted to know the same thing but these seemed to be the two most important things according to our nurse.

I used the same vitamins that you were prescribed with my son. He is now 5 months old and completely healthy. I'm actually still taking them because I'm breast feeding and those vitamins contain DHA which is great for baby's brain development. You should definitly take them and continue taking them even after you have your child if you decide to breastfeed.
