Soreness in

by sherryroberson, Oct 05, 2006 12:00AM
I am currently 19 wks today. The strangest thing this morning...I woke up, got up, and noticed a strange soreness in my belly button and around, like if i press around it.
What could that be from? Is is something to be worried about??
I've also noticed lately when i laugh and i'm laying down it will poke out.  I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not...
Not to sore without the touch but if i touch my belly button it's pretty sore. If any1 knows please help?? thanks!

i wouldn't worry it is probably just b/c it is getting ready to poke out my belly button was sore with my last pregnancy even after it poked out it was sore so i put a badaid over it so that my clothes would not rub up too much against it and it seemed to help. this time around however my belly button is not sore probably b/c the skin has already been stretched once in the area.

thanks for the advice, i thought maybe that was what it was. With my 1st it wasn't sore at all.

Not to alarm you--just watch it and make a note for your next dr's appointment to make sure that you are not develping a herniated belly button.  It did happen to one of my friends on her third pg.--Easily corrected after baby is born and shoudl not cause any compications with delivery.

Well my belly button is actually completely sticking out just yet, it's only when i'm laying down and i laugh it pokes out.
But it was extremely sore this morning, and has mostly went away now. I guess i'm not to worried anymore, thanks for the advice ladies! :-)

I'm 21 weeks and I'm just starting to feel sore around the belly button.  I had a very deep belly button and now it's about level with my stomach...it's actually kind of fun to watch it. :)  I've got a belly button piercing and I'm about ready to take it out. :(  Does anyone else have belly button piercings, and if so, what did you (or are you going to) do?

I don't have 1 personally. But i seen a girl that looked to be nearly 7 or 8 months pregnant, and she still had her naval piercing in. I was like wow. Hehe  So i guess ask you dr that's what i would do.
I also had a very deep one and it isn't poking out just yet. Just protudes when i laugh and am laying down, hehe!  But this is my 2nd and with my 1st it definitly ended up poking out.
