Total Urinary Incontinence

by osifer09, Mar 04, 2009 10:44PM
I just had my second child 4 days ago, she was 9lbs 6oz. Since leaving the hospital, I have had zero control over my bladder. I am wearing Depends 24/7 and cannot physically control or stop the flow of urine. Is this temporary or permanent? I am only 26 and would hate to deal with this so young. Anyone had the same problem?

Hey, talk to your ob-gyn, and if you get no satisfactory explanation, see if you can get a referral to a gynecological urology specialist.  It seems very odd, even after only 4 days, to have lost total bladder control.

You poor thing! What level of tear did you get? I think AnnieBrooke has the right idea here. Also know that there are some exercises you can to to help strengthen you pelvic floor. I found this article that may help you:
