Unknown pain

My friend's infant (5 weeks) is having issues with her right leg.  She won't extend all the way and seems to be in pain when being held or getting a daiper change.  She had x-rays and blood work and both were inconclusive.  Any suggestions on what it may be?  Is it possible for an infant to sleep on it funny?  Many Thanks!

What a sin! I feel so sorry for the little thing. If it continues, I would have them do further testing, she's not favouring it for nothing. Tell her mom to check her toes for a hair wrapped around her toe. Really, I've heard of a baby crying for days with no diagnosis until they found the hair and it was giving her pain because it was wrapped so tight. Let us know what happens. Good luck to your friend.
