When are you sure of babie's eye color

When are you sure of babie's eye color

My DD is twelve weeks old today. Her eyes are still blue. I was wondering if they might still turn brown. My DH has brown and I have blue eyes. They are still very blue and I am hoping that they stay blue. Our ped. says they could change up to six months. Has anyone had a baby whose eyes changed color after three months?

My DD's eyes were blue for several years. (3 or 4, can not remember) Then they slowly changed from blue to gray/blue depending on what she wears, sun etc. They are not the blue they used to be.

All my babies have blue eyes except now for my 6 year old.  Her eyes are just now turning hazel.  Some days though they'll have a hint of blue.  We just got her school pictures back and in the pictures her eyes look hazel.  I have hazel and DH has blue.

My 2 yr old ds still seems like his eyes haven't settled on a color.  He had dark blue eyes until he was around 6 months old and since then some days they look brown and other days they look green.  My mom says my eyes changed color a lot too before settling on green.  Maybe it's just green eyes that take a long time to settle.

my dd eyes were blue until she was six and are now hazel...mine are green and dh are brown...my ds is 3mths and his are still blue so we are hoping they stay that way or go green.  I think the green does take longer to happen

my eldest dd is 18 months and her eyes are green the doc says the difference between a blue and green eye is when the eyes are a true green they will have a yellow circle around the pupil(the black part) people with blue eyes cant have that if you all no what i mean my 5 month olds eyes are also still blue in my opinion everybody i knows eyes have turned to there true color by 6 months old it can happen later but not at all often.
so i have brown very dominant eyes in our family most of us do and this is a very large family while both of my daughters have blue and green eyes my dh has blue eyes so yeah i thought brown was dominant but i guess the recessive gene wins either way i dont really care what color my childrens eyes are you get what you get ay.

my youngests started turning when she was around a year old.  They went from blue, to a dark green, to a lovely shade of chocolate brown.  My oldests stayed blue.

my sons eyes are still blue and he will be 3 in june! mine and dh's eyes are hazel/green......thought he would have brown or green since my grnadfather is the only one with blue eyes for 3 generations, so im guessing he took the blu eyes from my grandfather!!!!

My old ped told me that by the time they were 12 months old, that would be their color for life, and that has been true for me w/ ALMOST all of my kids, except for one.

My 3rd child had bright beautiful blue eyes until she was almost 4.  About a month or so before her 4th birthday, my husband and I noticed they were changing.  And change they did.  They turned green.  So, now she has beautiful green eyes.

My aunt said the same thing happened with my cousin.  He was about the same age as my daughter when it happened.

But I think what my old ped told me is probably the norm in most cases.  I think eye color changing after the age of 1 is probably not very common at all.

In pictures at my first birthday I have bright baby blue eyes, they didn't turn hazel until I was 1 1/2 and they turned one at a time.

My youngest had blue eyes until he was around 3 and then they started changing slowly to more of a hazel color. He's now 4 and his eyes are a mixture of a kind of gray/green color. They tend to look different depending on what color he's wearing. My oldest boy is exactly like that too.
My daughter, however, had dark brown eyes almost since the beginning!

My son had some oddly dark shade of blue until 3 months and then they turned light blue and remained that way. We had nothing but blue eyes on my side of the family for 3 generations and 50% brown and 50% blue on his dad`s side.
