Yesterday's Glitch - OPEN FORUM

Just curious how many of you thought yesterday's multi-posting glitch was your computer, how many reported the problem to tech-support, and how many just satt at your computers an laughed yourselves silly. I e-mailed tech support, and he had it fixed in baout 20 minutes. I was surprised that he got it done so fast, and wondered how many complaints he must have gotten before mine.

Hi girls, thought of all of you that are preg this morning when I heard about the outbreak of salmonella that is linked to bagged spinach.  Didn't know if you all had heard about it.  Just stay clear of it for awhile.

Yea, we have an outbreak here of e-coli from bagged spinach. There have been like 10 cases in the county. 3 kids in Children's Hospital. They're pulling it from grocery store shelves here until they find out what brand.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what the protocol is on Vicks Vapor rub. I have the creamy kind, and would like to know if we are allowed to use it during pregnancy. I can't breathe at night, so I use a humidifier and prop myself up with a couple of small pillows. I have to sleep on my back practially all night in order to breathe. I can't sleep on my stomach at all, which I hate. Also, once I'm able to get to sleep, I end up waking up to pee, and all of a sudden I'm stuffed up again, and have trouble falling back asleep. (and I'm usually getting up at least 3 times a night to pee) I'm as not tired from being pg as I am from not getting a good night's sleep!

Any suggestions? Can we use a little Vaporub on our chests to help breathing, or a little under our nose? Please help!

I thought the glitch was just on my computer, until i saw it was happening to everyone else! boy did i feel silly!!(ha ha ha) I reported to tech support.  btw, i heard about the bagged spinach this morning on the radio. thats crazy!!! yikes!

As far as I know, vicks is ok during pg. I have used it. I prefer the cream, but I think the sticky ointment is probably stronger.

Good point.  It's all the same to me!  Speaking of Salmonella though -- I love mixes with cookie dough in there (we have a frozen custard place here we always go to).  Do you think that they don't put raw eggs in that?  I'm a little paranoid of it but it never stops me from ordering it!

Frozen custard is probably safe since they have to handle food specially to sell it. As far as eating your homemade cookie dough, just wash the outside of the eggs with dishsoap and then rinse them really well before cracking them open. The salmonella is only on the shell, not inside, so if the outside is clean, you really are safe.
