I'm sorry to post again but I just got a call from the dr. office that the medicine they prescribed is Zithromax Z-pack. Does anyone know if I can ttc while on this med??? My target date to ttc is the 6th-12th and I am supposed to start this antibiotic today. Will there be any harm if this is in my system and I conceive this month? I don't want to intentionally cause harm if I take this and get pregnant while it's in my system. We've been trying to conceive now since my m/c in Nov. and I REALLY don't want to skip this month because of an antibiotic if I don't have to.
That is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear and exactly what I was hoping was TRUE. I read that it is a class "B" drug and that it is safe DURING pregnancy, but I didn't know if that made any difference if you were already pregnant or if it hurt if it was in your system at the time of conception. I'm so glad there are ladies here who have so much knowledge. I just talked to a nurse and she said we should use a condom for the next two weeks!! I was CRUSHED!!!!
That IS weird because she mentioned something about being on the pill and she said.. "of course if you're trying you're not using any protection but you need to use a condom". She added that if I were on the pill I would need to use protection because there is a risk of getting pregnant on the pill. Well... we knew that already! :) I really want to try this month....both my hubby and my b-days are on the 8th and that's during our target week so maybe this time will be a little more fun and feel less like a chore!!
