am i really ovulating

We have been trying to concieve (conceive) for about a yr now & I recently purchased an at home ovulation predictor kit. For two months now on the 10th & 11th day after my menstration it has indicated that i am ovulating, my question is , i am still spotting at the time the test shows i'm ovulating,can I get pregnant? Now my period is 2 days late & I took a pregnancy test yesterday & unfortunatly, again its negative. am i doing something wrong? We really want to have a child & I am turning 34 in July & we don't want to wait much longer. I hope you can help, Thanks

I would say at least try and go with what the ovluation test is telling you and go ahead and try to conceive on days 10-12. You could also try later, too, but the last time I was pregnant I had taken an ovulation test and it had said I was ovulating on day 11! It explained why I hadn't gotten pregnant before then because I had assumed I would have ovulated around day 14. good luck!

i've used those OPK's and had them say I was ovulating when a blood test by my doctor later confirmed that I didn't. your body can produce an LH surge when it is trying to ovulate even though you never actually do so they aren't 100% accurate. If you go and see your doctor they should be able to do a blood test around day 21 of your cycle and by testing your progesterone level tell you whether or not you are ovulating.

and yes you can still get pregnant even if you are spotting.
