flu shots while pregnant

i am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant and i just got a flu shot today, and i've been searching in the computer and some said its okay and some said its not.is the flu shot safe fo myself and my new baby?i am just really really scared for miscarrage (miscarriage).please help me for my question.

I had the flu shot when I was preggo.  Doctor won't let me go without it.  I was 6 months along.  You should be fine.

My pediatrician said it depends on the trimester, but the dingy never checked for me. I'd like one too, you get some good responses...

I also had the flu shot when pregnant.  Do you really want another reason to throw up when pregs?

I was actually wondering the same thing. I have a flu shot scheduled for October 30th, and by that point I will know whether or not I am pregnant. I did a little reading and I found that since flu shot is an inactive form of the virus, it's safe to take while pregnant. It was actually recommended on one of the websites I found. Better to get the shot than risk getting the flu was the general idea. However I will still ask my Dr. just to be sure.

My docs encourage it.  I had one two weeks ago at around 6 weeks.  I think they want you to avoid the mist, though, which is a live virus.

My doc told me to get one and even offered to give it to me.  I get them free through my job though so I am getting one.

Some of the  flu shots have thimersal in them.
I wouldnt..but thats just me
I guess it depends where you live and do you normally get sick.

Our docters recommend it as well...the shot but not the nasal spray? Infact Kennedy and i are scheduled for ours tomorrow =)
