hcg levels

confused.  had intercourse and 5 days later had positive urine test and 6 days later had blood work with hcg level of 205.  doctor says i was already pregnant before that.  does this sound right.  i read 6 days would have meant i was already preg.

Yes, you would have already been pg at the time of intercourse in question.  

It takes 6-10 days for the fertilized egg to implant and start producing hcg, so an hcg of 205 at 6 days after intercourse would indicate that fertilzation had occured before the intercourse in question.

Does this put you in a bad situation?
