help with charting my cycle

I have just started charting my cycle this month. I think I have most of it down. I understand the CM and cervix position stuff...but the basal body temps are confusing me. I am under the understanding that initial temp shift should occur a few days after O. I am at about day 20 of a 28 or 30 day cycle (I'm not always regular, but they never last longer than 30). I am sure if I O it was about 4 or 5 days ago according to all the other signs...but my temps are all over the place. I drew a coverline and everything but it shows a few above, than a few below for the last week. I take my temp at the same time every morning before I do anything else.
Any comments would be appreciated:)

maybe you don't ovulate?  it will be something you'll have to watch for a few cycles.  Sometimes charts aren't "classic" charts, but a dr can see a pattern if you have a few cycles charted for them.  It is possible to have a period and no ovulation.  Good luck!!!

If you don't mind me asking what is your temp now. Today i am on cd 22.  i notice for the last few days my temps have been high like 99 - 99.4 and i was wondering if anyone had the same thing.  I got a positive OPK on cd 14.  So i probably ovulated the next day or so.

Right after my period (week 2) my temps were ranging from 96.7 to 97.4, with the 97.4 being the point which I understand would be my coverline. In week 3, my temps were from 97.1 to 97.6, with only 2 days of the higher one. Today it was 97.2...I have no reason to believe I have any fertility problems. Ihave had 3 m/c in my life, the first I had an IUD and it was ectopic. The second 2 I used spermicide. So, I figure if it can happen using birth control so easily, using nothing should be a piece of cake. I guess the big thing is...are there any other factors to flutuating temps other than a cycle without O?

Quick question, If I don't wake up at the same time every morning, can I still do BBT without messing up the results?

I was under the impression, only because I just had a m/c that anything about 99 means a m/c, that's what my doctor told me.  I right before I had my D&C my temp was 99 and I asked they why it was hight and they said you carry a higher fever when you're about to m/c.  Not saying that you are m/c but that temp is a little high to me.

I've looked at lots of charts to try to see if mine was anything like anyone elses, and lots of people have high temps like that..especially if you're pg.  Some people just have higher temps than others...

do you normally check your temps becuase i don't and i was wondering if you ever had the 99 thing before.  i didn't think they normally went that high

99 is normal - I noticed my temp has been higher too.  I asked the nurse and she said below 100 is normal...Your temp does stay elevated when pregnant.

I read that your bbt temp goes up .2%(roughly) every hour later you check.
I think maybe I screwed up my temps this cycle. There are a few temps definately above the coverline since suspected O. Maybe going to the bathroom first made a difference?

my BBT is all over the place too... but recently its been on 97.9-98.... im on cd26 & i cant wait to test but i dont wanna get dissapointed since i dont have the tender breast.. just a little cramping a few days back & some tiredness like AF is ready to come....

usually after my period raise a little normal is usually 98.4 and then after af raises to 98.6, usually stay there, but never usually this high, maybe im getting sick or something

i am only 8-9 dpo so i don't even know if i am pregnant but i just wasn't sure if 99 - 99.4 is a normal temp to have becuase i don't feel sick at all

I am having the same symptoms as you! No tender breasts but some cramping. I am now on day 21 and have a little over a week till I can check. YOU only have a few days left...let us know what the result is!
