Is there a way to determine the probability that a child of a twin will give birth to twins?

Depends...does it run in the family?? sometimes its just a chance of luck that twins are born...  Or if you are having any form of fertility assistance that also puts you of having twins higher

Also, what kind of twin is your parent? What I have heard, don't know how true, but faternal twins are the only ones that are genetic and identical anyone can have. As for my own family as far as my grandparents knew my mom was the only one in the family to have faternal twins and the grandchildren are too young to know yet. Also, Isn't that it skips a generation? Sorry I'm not more definateon my answers.

How did your mother's twin delivery go?  I am expecting twins and am hoping to have them naturally.  Thanks so much for letting me know.

My mother is one half of a boy-girl fraternal twin set, and it skips every generation in her family.  My father's uncle had 2 sets of fraternal twins with others scattered throughout his large family, but none in his immediate family.  I ask about the probability of me having twins when my fiance also has a set of fraternal twin uncles because at this point, I'm a little scared to get pregnant! Not that twins wouldn't be a double joy, but maybe a little much for a 1st time pregnancy.
