nevus sebacous

My daughter saw a plastic surgeon who told us that she had a nevus sebacous; however, our research show that this appears on the head and neck area and her birthmark is on her abdomen.  The birthmark has changed color and has become irritible to her, which seems to coincide with going through puberty as she is 14.  Is it possible for this to be located in an area other than on the neck and face?

what i know about it is it is an over growth of the sebacous gland, which is the gland that produces oil, i learned a little about it in school, and from what i remember most of the cases are located on the head and neck areas, but it can be located anywhere you have sebacous glands, so rarely yes they can be on the abdomen, they need to be checked out by a dermatologist rather then a plastic surgeon to determine the risk factors that accompany this disorder, because im sure you know that they do pose a threat of malignancy later in life so its best to have it evaluated,

My 3 year old daughter has naevuus sebaceous the doctor said. I am going to operate her but she is on a waiting list. I have 3 questions. 1st can this lead to cancer if not operated immediatly. 2nd how long can I wait for an operation but if it's urgent I can do it private in no time.3rd if they operate and arrange the problem, can this lead to cancer even so or can it rise again.
