ovulating after miscarriage

Hi all!,

I recently had a m/c and am wondering how long it will be before I ovulate?  Didn't some of you tell me that you ovulated before you first cycle came after a m/c? If so, how long after?  Not to sound stupid, but you have to ovulate to get pregnant right?  Do even if my cycle does not come for awhile, I could still ovulate?  Thanks for the help

Everyone is different, it could be anywhere from 2-6 or more weeks. Ovulation is part of your cycle, it means when a mature egg is released. There is usually between 5-7 days each month that you are fertil. To be on the safe side I would wait until you have had at least 1 menstruel cycle, because there is a chance that the lineing of your uterus won't be strong enough to support a pregnancy. Some people however get pregnant 2 weeks after a miscarriage, and carry to term. But the choice is up to you, do what is in your heart. The best of luck

My mc began on 12/22.  By 1/5 my levels were back to 0.  I ovulated around 1/12.

My DH and I had planned to wait for one cycle to TTC again.  I thought I ovulated a few days earlier than I did, though, and then we weren't as careful anymore.  And then-oops-I realized THIS was ovulation!  (I don't chart or use kits).  We're currently 7w 1d pregnant, before AF came.  We're doing fine.

yes you indeed need to ovulate to become pregnant. that is when the egg is released to be fertilized by the sperm. you should wait atleast 1 normal cycle after mc to ttc again. i just mc too and am now just waitng for time to pass before tc again. good luck and God Bless!!
