passed something, what was it??

passed something, what was it??

i am updating on my situation (am i destined for miscarriage or do i still have some hope?) to say that i am in the process of miscarrying right now :(. i went to the doctors yesterday, she said the pregnancy didnt seem normal but you never know. they checked my hcg levels and showed that in 2 days it had only gone up 20. i was devestated. last night the bleeding became heavier and the cramping more intense. i called the covering doctor today and he told me that i was miscarrying and to just treat it like a regular (slightly heaver) period. no really bad pain (only a few weeks preg at best) and while in the bathtub i felt something slidee right out of me. couldnt find it at first but stood up and seen a small (abt 2 in), oddly shaped mass, looking kind of like a blood clot/liver. i dont know what it was, i was hoping to get some ideas? thank you so much.

I'm sorry you are going through this.  When I had my m/c I also passed clots too and then some gray tissue later.  Could be that you are starting to m/c and it may take awhile.  I had large clots the size of the palm of my hand, but was much further along.  I hope it gets better, take care.

sorry you have to go through this. It is one of the worst experiences I have ever been through. I passed quite a few clots, and there was a lot of bleeding, had to change a couple of huge pads every 30 minutes (sorry TMI).

A few people I know actully collected what they said was the sac, to take for testing.

I don't know if that is what you passed and or even if it is possible, but maybe that is what it could have been.

One thing, once it is all over get yourself checked out again (Ultrasound), as I was never called back and when I decided to go to a private gynacologist, who had a look (as I started having some brown discharge about 2 months after Miscarriage), she had found that I hadn't passed everything, and because of that I ended up with inflammation and infection.

Anyway, again sorry for your loss and if you need get something off your chest, that's what we are all here for.

I'm so sorry, dear, I know exactly how you feel, I had my second m/c recently. I believe you passed the sac. When you're more ahead in the pregnancy (6-7 weeks and later) the sac is usually a grey tissue and is approximately as big as a quater. Earlier in the pregnancy (before week 6) you  pass only large clots. I'm sorry again and I can only tell you that time really heals and it gets a little easier. (((HUGGGS)))

I did pass the sac when I m/c, but since I had a blighted ovum it was empty so it wasn't too hard for me to look at.  I was at 11 weeks so it was starting to get bigger and I actually had to help it out (sorry).  It was clear and full of fluid, looked kind of like a water balloon.  Sometimes you pass it with all of the clots and don't see it though, which may be better.

that is what must have happened with me as i did not see anything. I had a blighted ovum, but we did not notice until 10 weeks.

I don't know how they can tell you to treat it as a regular period though, as it is extremly painful (both physically and emotionally).

again so sorry. I did not know how common it is for women to miscarry (i know i am very naive), until it happened to me.

Sounds more liuke a weird af than a m/c.  I could be wrong though.  You can always call your Dr. and ask.  With my m/c it was 2 weeks of really heavy bleeding and lots of cramping and back pain, made me really sick for a few days.  My af are always really heavy though and long, but this felt like the af from he**.  I hope it was just a strange af for you.  Good luck ttc, hope it happens soon.

When I miscarried around 8-10 weeks I had huge blood clots and so much blood! I had to wear diapers cause it was so heavy and a pad wouldn't help it.  I had tons of cramping and pain, felt almost as bad as after giving birth full term.

Good luck to you.

This is my 9th PG I had 5 M/C and I am about 99.9% sure it was the sac. I took mine for testing. Honestly it is a good idea to save it for your doctor.

It could be a very early m/c, but I really doubt it, because even with my second one which happened just after my period was due, I bled for 2 weeks. I don't believe you can have only 4 days of bleeding with a m/c no matter how early it is. Passing clots is normal, you can read more about them on Internet.

Hope you feel better.  I know my af can sometimes be really off too.  Especially when I am not on the pill, then it's awful.  Good luck ttc!

I had a miscarriage about a month ago.  I passed the sac (large, about 5 inches) and many blood clots.  I have continued to bleed off and on since then.  Today in a resturant bathroom I passed  a tear shaped ball (clearish flesh color) the size of a grape with a small dark black spot.  Because I was in a resturant bathroom, I did not do much investigation.  Does anyone know what that is?
