I have a friend that was diagnosed with 2 sacs but they only seen one baby.Is there a name as shadow baby ? what is the purpose for having 2 sacs with one empty and one full?

Could be a couple of senarios she could have been pregnant with twins but one didn't take, the other thing could be an internal bleed which looks like another sac, only time will tell.

this same exact thing happended to my friend. she went in for a 7 week check up and they found two sacs...they were meant to be twins but the other one didnt make it. when she went in for her 11 wk check up the other sac had completely disappeared. they call it the vanishing twin! google it, u'll see. on the other hand, the doctor did say one twin may be a little behind so it could have been a viable pregnancy, though that wasnt the case for her.
