sac but nothing in it at 5 weeks

I had a ultrsound at 5 weeks and 2 days the doc says he seen the sac but nothing in it ,I am wondering if this is just to early or do I have something to worry about. My HCG levels were 4030 at 5 weeks and 1 day, I have been having cramps but no bleeding does this sound bad I go back for another ultrasound on the 20th of December I will be 7 weeks and 3 days Please help I am so scared

5 weeks 2 days may very well be too early to detect anything other than a sac. 2 more weeks will make all the difference in the world.

5 weeks is entirely too early to see anything.  Most dr don't want to do utlra sounds til you are atleast 7 weeks because that is when you can see the fetal pole and the heartbeat.  I know it's hard, but hang in there!!!

you probab;y wont see anything until 6-8 weeks....its normal...dont stress girl you will find out more on your next ultrasound...your hormones sound fine....good luck and keep us posted

i had the same issue, 2 sacs one detected baby at 6 week ultra sound, 1 week later I had to go back from heavy bleeding (subchrionic hemmerage sp) and they detected 2 heartbeats so don't get worried, it is as said above too early.

I know this post was awhile ago, but I had the exact same thing.  At 5 weeks 2 days it was just a sac, then two weeks later was a baby and a heartbeat!!!!
