what do yall think???

i am about 6 weeks along. i started bleeding yesterday. the er told me it could be normal and that my cervix is closed. went to my 1st appt. today and the ultrasound showed nothing maybe because im so early. my hormone level is 80 wich is low, maybe from early preg. or miscarriage. im cramping pretty bad and a couple blood clots have passed. i was told by a nurse that if i was miscarriaging that i would bleed alot, but its just a little on the pad and alot on tissue, but like i said alot of cramps. any ideas?? i go back tuesday to get my blood checked to find out but thats a long time away!! please no guessing let me know if this has happen to you or someone you know!!

im sorry ton msay that a hormone level of 80 at six weeks is very , very, very  low are you sure about your dates. and passing clots is not a good sign either.

I really don't like answering questions like this one, because you really NEVER know exactly until it happens or the dr. confirms it.  But it sounds like you are having a miscarriage.  I have a lot of experience with those :(  They never tell you the bad news at the ER if they don't have any proof.  I was miscarrying for the second time and they told me to get a repeat pregnancy test at the obgyn for a 2 day follow up!  Even though my hcg levels came in at7 for 4 weeks ! I was like - I KNOW I'M PREGNANT, I just need to know if I'm not anymore!  Well, your hormone levels are very low for 6 weeks, and the fact that you are cramping AND passing clots is a sign of a miscarriage.  Those two have to happen at the same time to be considered a "threatened abortion" as they say.  I'm very sorry this is happening to you, I really do hope it's not a miscarriage, and if you find out that everything is fine, please let me know.

thank you, i believe everything happens for a reason. im just scared how my 6 yr old daughter is going to take it. that scares me more. the clots are small compared to what i get during my period and not much blood on pad! and the bad thing is i have to wait till tuesday!!

ugh, I hate the waiting game.  Well, with both of my miscarriages, I went to the bathroom and wiped some pink, just barely pink.  Then it would stop for about a day, and I didn't have any cramps, then it would start again, just kind of brown and I started getting period cramps, then I started passing tiny little clots, then it would slow down, and then finally on days 3-4 I started just plain bleeding bright red with clots and cramps got bad, I had to take ibuprofen and I finally miscarried naturally both times.  Each time there was a sac that I passed a size of a golf ball, the cramps usually stop and bleeding slows down.  I read in a book that it's best not to tell your children about a pregnancy until you are done with the first 12 weeks and the risk of a miscarriage drops considerably.  My daughter is only two, but we taught her that "mommy has a baby in her tummy" she kept pointing at my stomache and saying "mommy has a baby!" and it was very sad, because there WAS NO BABY anymore, I didn't tell her anything, she just kind of forgot, because we stopped talking about it.  Are you bleeding/cramping right now?

Bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy... bleeding with clots and cramping is not a good sign. Your levels are also very low. It sounds like a missed miscarriage to me which is basically your cervix is closed but the baby didn't make it. I went through one of those before and what your saying sounds like what I went through that time.
