Sad News - The body was Caylee

So after dna testing, the remains that were found were Caylee's.  That poor girl.  I hope her mother gets what she deserves.  Maybe now the family can rest in peace.

I got your pm. Don't worry. No hard feelings to you.  I tend to see life as it should be, more than what really is. Internal conflict occurs when the two don't line up... If we had things my way, this child would have lived and been adopted by loving parents. There wouldn't be wars, the economy would't be in a depression, and who knows what...  Unicorns and rainbows are optional, lol.

i ma not sure what world you live in, because it is not the rel world, Havent you figured out this woman has no soul. no conscience. If she did she would have never did what she had done. She wouldnt have lied about it for 6 months, been out partying and having fun. MJ you rreally have to get into the real world. This woman is nothing but pure eveil and if you dont beleive me start a poll and ask how many thinks she is pure eveil.. i think you may be surprised by the results you get. i wish things could be different but they arent and the sooner you relize it the better off you will be

You speak a very good point. I think it is anger that makes many people want to see justice done and see her suffer like her child suffered if she indeed killed her child. What that child went through was horrible! No matter who did it, no child should have to suffer like that.

So far the evidence seems very convincing to many people that the mother did the nasty deed.  I'd like to see it turned into something good, like have her taken across the country admitting what she did and be forced to work with groups against violence and have her work with people who've had their children murdered, experience their pain and feel shame. It could be a very life-changing experience, but the death sentence won't let that happen...

I think it's odd that so many are essentially advocating torture as a form of punishment (i.e. turning her loose to the mercy of other prisoners in presumption that she would be physically and/or sexually abused).  The US and other democracies pride ourselves on having progressed beyond torture which is often seen as a sign of barbarism and lack of progress, particularly as we associate it with political systems of oppression such as tyranny and dictatorship.  I wholeheartedly agree that from what has appeared in the media this mother has incriminated herself horribly.  Technically, she is innocent until proven guilty; if she did indeed commit this crime, she should receive the most severe penalty possible.  But I have to stop short of advocating torture.  Surely, let her live out her days in prison, tormented by the thought of what she has done and the loss of her freedom.  But I do not think we should be so quick as a society to turn to a lynch-mob mentality.  The basic human rights afforded to everyone in a democratic society--even prisoners--are essential to the maintenance of democracy and civilization.

I agree with all of you. I have three beautiful children and could never imagine anything like this happening to them none the less me doing it to them. This woman should be punished but death is the easy way out. Let her into general population in prison and let the prisoners that miss their babes punish her. That would be the best punishment for this evil person.

The problem is this won't happen if she does get the death sentence then she will probably be diagnosed with some mental disorder and be protected the whole time she is there. And treated like some innocent person.

I agree with Sarah's statement earlier-death WOULD be the easy way out for the $#@%  She should be given life in prison w/ no chance of parole, and she should have NO protection from her fellow inmates.

Surely, no punishment could be worse then being forced to live with the memories of her despicable crime and having the other prisoners daily punishment on top of that.  IMHO, this is worse than death.

On a more happy note-May all of you have a wonderful Christmas!  :D

At some point those people you mentioned made a decision to do evil and they stuck with their decisions. It is sad because they had the choice to do good sometime in their lives, but for whatever reasons turned their back to it...  I wish Hitler would have stuck with art...He may not have been a great artist, but if he would have stuck to that path rather than go political, maybe history would have been different and many lives would have been spared. But then who knows...we can always imagine what if...

But we do know what he did and it was pure evil... God will judge him and anyone else who chooses to do evil.

Personally I couldn't live with myself knowing I did all this if I were that mother... That guilt would carry on the rest of my life and I certainly wouldn't be throwing any wild parties... I shudder at the thought what life will be like when she gets too old to do wild parties and wants to settle down and start a family. Heaven forbid...if she does have another and want to start over, what will she tell her supposed "oldest" "first-born"?  That child will be curious. He or she will find out and the mother will have to explain...  Children are pretty good at spotting lies.

She can't run from the past forever. She can't hide from the truth.  It will catch up with her sooner or later.

MJthewriter I so much agree with your statements, especially that God will judge her. Well maybe one statement I would have to ponder before agreement; "good and bad in all." I don't know if that is the case with everyone. There are and have been some pretty evil ppl in this world, like Hitler and Charles Manson. I think one would be hard pressed to find some honest "good" in them. And if you did I think it would be something that their evilness enjoyed that just happens to appear "good."

I wouldn't need immunity to talk to the authorities. So I disagree that the attorney has advised them to request it. Name the other ppl that had missing children or missing grandchildren and asked for immunity before they would give more statements to the authorities???? And were they innocent of any part of the crime??? The answer would be none. George and Cindy have known more than they have told for some time. I do not beleive they hurt Caylee. But I strongly beleive they have mislead authorities, withheld evidence and/or tainted it and covered up for their daughter.

This poor child deserved so much better. And in death she deserved at the very least, her grandparents to fight for the truth and justice to solve her murder.  Everyone let this child down.

I live in Central FL, not far from all of these goings on. It has been a constantly hourly bombardment since Caylee was finally reported missing (a month after she was gone). There has been so much evidence since day 1 that it was Casey at bat. They did dna testing on the "human decomp" in the trunk months ago and it proved to be Caylee then. I don't know why people still thought she could be alive after that. They re-arrested Casey then. The only thing missing was the body. The shovel, the chloroform, the alledged phone calls to the "nanny" that didn't exist in cell phone records, the stolen checks from her friend, the wild parties while the baby is missing....Just too much evidence. I am glad they finally found her and she can be laid to rest. That beautiful baby deserved so much better from life.

I have always been more pro-life, but there are cases such as this, where I lean more toward pro-choice. Casey stated she never wanted the baby to begin with. Her mother talked her into having Caylee so she could try to make up for all the damage she did with Casey. I don't know what kind of dysfunction is going on there, but there's a heaping helping in that household. I just pray that Cindy and George's hands are clean in this whole mess.

I always have wondered who the father was. Maybe Caylee would have had a decent life if he had known she was his.  Poor little lamb.

I do think the duct tape is in order. Caylee's mouth was duct taped the Coroner (Dr. G) said.

I've given up watching the news, probably for that reason... Too many depressing stories or PR stories that push a product or a book...

But I take that back... I saw one optimistic story two days ago about a little boy.  I guess stories dealing with people struggling and winning are another thing the news likes to use.

I didn't know much about this story either until I saw this story mentioned in a couple areas here and googled it.  I need to return to my protective bubble of ignorance, lol.

For whoever asked if they went on trial yet, the article I read (that was posted today on msnbc) said that there has not yet been a trial. Knowing how these cases go, it could be months or even years before Caylee gets justice.

I must live on the moon or something because I have no clue what anyone is talking about! But what I have gleaned from comments breaks my heart. I agree with MJthewriter completely.

I don't watch the news because I get a little paranoid to the point I lay in bed all night dreaming up REALLY REALLY awful things happening to my family. So that's probably why I haven't heard about this. I'm going to go Google and get more info.

So very sad, I just can't believe how anyone could do this to a child. I have prayed for this child though deep down inside, I knew that she had to have been killed. I tried not to think that it was the case, I just have no words........other than....who ever did this, you need to pay for this. Over and Over and Over until your own death. And if she was killed by he own mother, then she should be dealt with immediately.

Plus if you put her in a room with other mothers, they can have their dibs on her as well.

I think forced public service for life would do her well. I mean FAR AWAY from children, but still be drug around the country admitting she killed her own child and to explain why she did so and to tell other mothers not to do what she did.  That way the shame won't end and hopefully something good can come out of it that is if she can prevent other people from murdering their children.

I still believe every human has a soul and is capable of doing both good and evil.  What this woman did was evil. The forgiveness she should seek is God's forgiveness. That's what I meant by forgiveness with my first post. That said I agree that life in prison would be far more suiting and have reminders of what she did. Hopefully that can give her time to think over what she did and desire to do something redeeming like speak out against violence against children or something.... Kind of like what some drunk drivers do when they end up hitting and killing a child from DUI.

If she isn't willing to do some public service, then it's a different story altogether...

But what I wonder, has she been found guilty yet?  Have they put her through court? It sounds very likely she did the dirty act but are we 100% sure yet?  It sounds to me and everyone here so far convincing she did it.
