What were (are) your grandparent's names?

Its interesting how names go in and out of style. The book "Freakanomics" has a whole chapter on how names migrate though different social classes, and based on this they predict the top baby names in the year 2030.

But anyway, what were your grandparent's name?

Swampy's grandmothers were named Clema and Agnes. Clema's mother was named Ellen.

Occasionally you still hear of an Ellen, but you almost never hear of a Clema or an Agnes.

my dad's side was Nora Mae and Rufus William

My dad's name was Floyd William and my mother was Dorothy Louise

my dads~ elva dorthy and robert van which i think used to be part of the last name from records ihave seen.

Funny, I know a Ellie Rose and a Evelyn Rose.
My middle name is Rose, I always felt so proud of it because it wasn't your usual Ann or Marie, now it is so common. I am still going to use it if I have a girl though since it is my Grandma's name, I can't stop the tradition now.
