What were (are) your grandparent's names?

Its interesting how names go in and out of style. The book "Freakanomics" has a whole chapter on how names migrate though different social classes, and based on this they predict the top baby names in the year 2030.

But anyway, what were your grandparent's name?

Swampy's grandmothers were named Clema and Agnes. Clema's mother was named Ellen.

Occasionally you still hear of an Ellen, but you almost never hear of a Clema or an Agnes.

Grandmother's: EVA GLADYS and AGNES MARY

Granfathers: WALTER and PAUL, funny I don't remember their middle names

Moms side- Rose and Eugene(Gene) step: Tony and Jeanette
Dad's side - Violet and William.
If my baby on the way is a girl her name will be Violet as well.

my granma was known as Nellie but she had another name of Ellen,killed in the War,Fathers name was Henry they nickname Henry as Harry, My Mom was simply Mary 'no middle name.  You are right they do change with the times,

I'm such a goof! My grandpa's name wasn't Theodore (he went by "Ted" though). His name was Forrest and I think his middle name was Theodore or something similar. Oy vey!

My cat's name is on the predicted boy list (Beckett). I actually agree with many of the names making a comeback!
