Too much porn/masturbation cause ED?

Hi I m a 28 year old and suffer some degree of ED in recent. I start masturbated since I m 19 and usually use porn as a form of visual stimiulation. I have observed that I have lost the ability to maintain erect during intercource or I only get weak erection. My question is: does masturbation in association with porn will "exhaust" my interest towards sex and create a negative impact on my ability to get aroused in real sex? I m worried cause I think I m still young to have physical cause  for ED. Any thought?

hey guys,

I'm just here to report that I masturbated twice in two days without porn.
It didn't feel intense as I was expecting and I am so happy I didn't feel any downward spiral feeling of guilt, sadness or unworthiness afterwards like I remember going through when I was on porn. The after feeling was calm, I felt like I had just taken a **** or something, it wasn't anything great, I could have continued without it and it didn't make a difference.

I just want to ask if this is a relapse? I didnt PMO which is what I am on the path of recovering from. I used my imagination to bring myself over the edge.

I must say, while i was doing it, i felt a little thought to go look at something creeping up but i blocked that thought. I guess masturbating without porn is ok, but it is still a bit dangerous because the temptation is there to watch porn.  If I had watched porn I could have been in a binge right now, but instead I went back to doing some work, and then decided to make this post. I must been been feeling stressed and needed a break or something.

Anyway, give me feedback, is this a relapse? Do I have to start over from day 1?

Hi and welcome to the discussion. I hope you'll let us know how it went. But don't get too downhearted if it's not great - it sometimes takes several months of total abstinence from porn before full recovery.

I too have been noticing more frequent morning wood and stronger erections. But I haven't had sex on a regular enough basis to be able to have a clear picture. Last time I had sex was over two weeks ago, we had sex twice in the evening and then once in the morning. I came pretty fast the first time, and the second and third times I lasted longer but I needed a ******* to get me hard...

So hello guys, I am really proud to say that I havent M or watched P for the last 30 days - the benefits are obvious - a harder and more frequent morning wood (happy). You know - I had no idea what was going on when I wasnt hard at all several times with my GF - she was definitely frustrated, and so was I. when I got home my first job (of course) was searching the net for people who had similar situations and I bumped on this forum - I read as much comments as I could, though this is the first time I am posting something.. I wanted to say thanks for your comments - they really helped me out !

I had some trouble with my gf for the last weeks, so we didnt try having sex, but I think tonight is the night, I am positive that I will be as hard as a rock, and she will be as pleased as me :))

so thanks again, and stay strong (hard) !

The reason why i use fapping, so i dont need to use effor to say "masturbation", you do realizing, that there are other slangs, like jerking off, beating off, slapping the dragon, those are well known terms of masturbation.
iT IS AN epidemic, as people on this site, in the sexual health section, have alot of peopl with ED due to PORN, and yahooanswer seems to have a growing number of questions about ED. The word fap, has been around for many years, its not a new word. Some people relapse, is becauses its basically an addiction, like a drug, you will get strong urges, and there is probably psychological addiction, actual chemical changes, such as fall in dopamine levels when you are :in withdrawal" Its easier to stop mbing, and stop watching porn. As you know, even one thought or one click is enough to go for a 30-1hr porn/mb session. it wouldve been ok if people did it once a week or once a month, but not multiple times a day, 7days a week.
Furthermore, porn addiction, is actual biochemical addiction, in your brain. Excluding if you have no medical conditions, or not taking meds that affect ED, it should be a faster recovery, than people with ED issues due to meds and conditions. You know you have ED and porn addiction, when you watch for an hour or more, and fapping it multiple times a day. I dont think a psycologist, therapist, psychotherapist is neccesary, unless you suffering from chronic or major depression, anxiety, or  Other mental issues, that might need treatment. Since you indicated in your post that you loss your wife, which would make you go into a "depression" episode.

Best thing to do is avoid porn altoghether, and avoid as much as possible, if you have the urge to mb, just do it, no porn should be used though. As i have said, depending on how severe your addiction is, feeling in your genital area, and sensitivity should return, so does the intensity of the orgasms. The only difficult thing to overcome is having a random erection throughout the day

Guys, this whole losing your erections and ability and to have a normal sexuality because of masturbating to porn is a new epidemic. Every day more and more men are starting to realize that masturbating to porn is causing Erectile dysfunction, ruining lives, relationships, etc. Online porn really has only come into the forefront the past 10 years. The advent of Porntubes the last five years has taken online porn to a new frontier. Every type of porn you want is a click away. Going from one type to next, seeking that higher porn high.

The reason I discourage the word "fapping" is cause most people do not know what it is. When men of all ages (15-60) come on here seeking advice and help as to why they are no longer able to get or maintain erections because an addiction to masturbation while watching porn, they should be able to receive a clear picture of what is happening to them. Continual masturbation to porn is ruining one of, if not the greatest gift a man has, enjoying sexuality. The word "fapping" is counter productive, not clinical and just childish. We are here to help each other out. I suffered from the worst case of masturbation to porn addiction anybody will ever have. The worst.

It took losing my wife, yes I lost my wife because of my masturbating to porn addiction, before I was to beat this horrid addiction. I should have received professional help, but I didn't. Thought I could beat it on my own. Before my addiction to online porn, I masturbated a lot, before I was married and after. I would rent movies at a video store, masturbate to them, and still have great sex with girlfriends and eventually my wife.I never had a problem getting and maintaining super hard erections and staying hard for extended sex sessions in all my years of masturbating to anything and videos I would rent.  But in 2004 I installed broadband internet in my home. Two months later I was no longer able to get or maintain an erection. It took two months for masturbating to porn online to take away my erections.

Yes, you have to stop masturbating to porn and anything else to recover your erections within 60-90 days; but a lot of people fall off the wagon, and that's ok. BUT, do not fall off the wagon masturbating to porn. If you masturbate, do it naturally, in bed, in the shower. Do not get discouraged cause you fell off the wagon. YOU are building equity into your recovery, sure, it might take longer past the 60-90 window, but what you are putting in as far as not masturbating to porn counts! Now, if you do fall off the wagon masturbating to porn more then twice, I will honestly say please seek professional help. There are 1-800 numbers online you can call and speak to somebody. You can also consult with a local therapist.
