I'M PREGNANT ONE MONTH AFTER A MISCARRIAGE

I HAD A MISCARRIAGE ON NOVEMBER 16TH.  IT WAS CALLED A CHEMICAL PREGNANCY BECAUSE I WAS ONLY ABOUT 4 1/2 WEEKS. (BASICALLY IT WAS LIKE GETTING MY PERIOD 5 DAYS LATER THAN NORMAL. NO CRAMPING AND NO D&C NECESSARY.) NOW IT IS A MONTH LATER ALL LAST WEEK HAD SLIGHT CRAMPING LIKE I WOULD BE GETTING A/F.  TOOK A TEST AND I'M PREGNANT!  I'M EXCITED, BUT SLIGHTLY NERVOUS THAT I COULD MISCARRY AGAIN. ALWAYS NERVOUS WHEN I GO TO THE BATHROOM THAT I MIGHT SEE BLOOD.  HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE?  ANYTHING I CAN DO TO INCREASE CHANCES OF NOT LOSING THIS ONE?

Don't trust every doctor and if you are bleeding have your hormone levels checked!!!!

I recently suffered the loss of my baby 12 weeks into the pregnancy.  Although miscarriage is said to be a common occurrence, my case is a bit different and I have been doing extensive research to determine the cause of my loss.

I had suffered bleeding throughout the pregnancy and my doctor NEVER checked my hormone levels... the baby had an excellent heartbeat all along... even hours before I lost her.  I actually went into premature labor, my water broke, and I gave birth to a very tiny perfectly and fully-formed baby.  The development at this stage is amazing...  all facial features and the most beautiful fingers and toes.  The following day, I started producing milk which made the experience even more heart-wrenching.

I firmly believe after researching and discussing this matter with other women who suffered bleeding during pregnancy that I had a hormonal imbalance- possibly low progesterone levels.  Doctor's unfortunately do not check such things until a woman has suffered 3 miscarriages and is therefore considered "high-risk".  I have read that other women who suffer bleeding have been given progesterone to maintain their pregnancy.

Doctors are generally very cold and before searching for simple answers or natural alternatives will recommend very expensive fertility treatments.

Unfortunately I put my faith in my doctor that she was doing all that she could...  after I learned otherwise.  I will never forget my first little one.

I also want to add that I was in the ER twice due to bleeding (without cramps) and they said everything was fine...  no hormone level tests done.  The last two days before I miscarried I had bleeding with cramps and both ultrasounds showed the baby moving around with a strong heartbeat...  I was sent home, told not to worry and that it happens.  Again... no bloodwork!  A couple of hours after seeing my baby and hearing her heartbeat, my water broke and I lost her.

Hi

I had my first MC in May 2009 I was 10wks I could not understand why this had happened to me and my partner. I am young healthy and done everything properly. It took me a while to get over it but with support from my partner, family and friends the pain semed to fade.
I had a period 4wks 4days later and was devestated but again got through this.... I then fell pregnant and got it confirmed at docs July and had a scan in Aug which was amazing seeing the baby heart beat at 71/2 wks but unfortunally I MC again at 9wks while on holiday and was totally devestaed. This was 61/2wks ago but I have found out am pregnant agian. I am so happy but terrifed also I pray this pregancy will go all the way as I dont think emotionally or physically I could handle another MC.
But I hope 3rd time lucky

Hi, my heart is with you all.  It is such a heart wrenching experience going through a miscarriage.

I had my first in March /07.  I never had even considered the possiblitly of having a miscarriage.  I just though that it would be hard to get pregnant.

My second in August/08, and third in Nov /08.  started to just be apart of our lives.

So we decided to not have kids.

April/08 I was pregnant.  And I didn't enjoy a moment of it.  No overwhelming love for the beautiful baby growing inside me.  Just fear and an almost dispassionate feeling for that baby moving in there.

Even after I had him, and he became very ill, did I stay distanced from him.

The first week I finally got to bring that baby home did I finally feel that he was real and we fell in love, him and I.

So here I am again.  Got pregnant right away July/09, lost the baby, had a DNC in September, and now I am pregnant again.

And I feel as though I have been cheated.  For there is no excitement, no huge joy, or love for that being that is growin inside me.  Just distance as I don't want to let myself get too close, as to lose another child.

My heart, and prayers are with you all.  Blessed Be.

Erin

Be strong hun. Only way to know for sure is to test. You may still have hcg in your system since its only bee a month since you had your miscarriage. So take a test at home and if its positve call your dr for confirmation. Im so sorry for your loss. Good luck and take care.
