AZOOR!

Wobbly Daughter does NOT have optic neuritis... nor is she making things up re: blind spots in her eye.  She has, the neuro-ophthalmologist says, a classic case of AZOOR, which is apparently a fairly rare condition that mimics o.n. but is completely unrelated to MS or anything else much.  It isn't treatable, but sometimes heals on its own after a few  years.

This is absolutely wonderful news on a lot of fronts, although it does leave us back to square one on "What's wrong with her ankle and why does her leg go numb?"  But that's okay.  I'm hoping the neurologist Monday will be able to take a fresh look at her and come up with something nobody else thought of... especially now that two separate drs have id'd two unique conditions that explain 2/3 of her symptoms.  Surely he'll pay attention and not try to say she's making up the last 1/3!

Meanwhile, she's feeing really good (except for allergies!) , and walking 99.9 percent normally.   Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Wait....I misread that.

Still Yippee about the ON, but, what the heck IS going on with the rest of her?  The walking?

Still glad she's feeling good, but let us know what the neuro says.  Keep on pressing.

We're still here.

Yea!!!!

What wonderful news!  I'm so happy your daughter is feeling really good!  And a diagnosis!  A good one, at that!

And what an interesting one.... I've not heard of it.  I'll be sure to look it up.

What a relief, and cause for celebration.  Yippee!

Send her our love,
