Anyone

Oh No!  I have developed a rash on my cheeks! (Face haha)
It is red, doesnt hurt, extends from the bridge of my nose down, just the front part of the cheek.
I stopped using my make-up to see if I have an allergy, but it hasn't gone away. I have had it about 2 weeks now.
I didn't think much of it until my dear boyfriend said it looked painful!
I was out in the sun this past Sunday. It seemed worse after that. Although it is worse latter on in the day than it is earlier.
I am a little worried this could be a sign of Lupus. I am in Dx'd for MS and have been
for Lupus before.
Concerned,
Cyndi

I have a simular rash that comes and goes on my face, my GP said it's Roceasea (sp)? which is adult acne.  I don't know if that is what it is (horrible when you dont trust your GP) eh... I'm seeing a Rhuem in a few weeks and will ask him.

Mine get worse after I have a shower or when it's hot outside etc...I will ask to see a Dermatologist as well.

Good Luck let us know what happens...

Sorry about your facial rash!  You haven't started any new medication that would make you more sensitive to sunlight have you?  I noticed that you live in sunny Florida.  If not, I would follow Momzilla advice to have a doctor look at it.

Thanks for the post. I reread my post and meant to type UNDx'd and have been tested for Lupus it was negative. I do not have a rheumy. It is on both sides, but worse on the right.  I can rub my finger over it and it is little bumpy. More red than raised. I look feverish, but am not.
I suppose a doc visit is in order. Sigh
Thanks again

Hey, Cyndi~

You really ought to have your doctor look at it.  Do you have a rheumatologist?  It sounds like the spot where a malar rash would be in Lupus, but I believe the rash is usually symmetrical.  Shaped like a butterfly, I have heard.  And raised a bit?  How do I think I know this?

Get it looked at, but try not to worry.

Let us know how it goes!  Feel well,

Zilla*

I don't know about the Lupus part, but I think I may know how to help the rash.

I am not being funny, but I have found that diaper rash creams work well on rashes.

Good luck
