Arms very tender???

The outside of both my arms on the upper part is kinda painful when I press on it.  Don't know if I'm in the zone of thinking everything that feels different is the MS or what.  New at this.  Anyone else 's arms ever feel like this????

Thanks,
Kelli

I just posted about this same thing, my right arm started out like yours, in the upper part of my arm, yes, the part that fatty, shaky upper arm. It came and went for a long time, now it is just getting worse, showing up in my other arm and my legs.

well, we will see what we find out...

hugs, meg

I have just experienced very painful arms just as you described as part of my relapse. They both really hurt on the outside and it felt like in the muscles. I also experienced it in one leg on the top. I had to take extra pain relief and found that ibuprofen gave some relief..but did not completely take it away.

Hang in there..you are not alone and it is in some ways reasssuring to hear when other people suffer with similar symptoms..I think we understand better than the doctors what is going on in our bodies as we feel it!

I have painful sensations in my left arm and hand, constantly, as in 24/7 since an attack in March 2008, a few months after my MS dx.  These sensations have worsened since onset.

Sometimes it feels bruised as you describe, sometimes numb, sometimes like a sunburn, sometimes itchy, sometimes it's the same sensation as when you hit your funny bone, only all through my arm.  Sometimes light pressure or the grazing of fabric of a sleeve is like nails on a chalkboard to me.  Mostly it feels like my hand and lower arm are in a vise grip, it's a squeezing pressure sensation that never remits.  It's all paresthesia caused by lesion(s) in my c-spine.  Treating it with a combo of Neurotin, Elavil and Cesamet, with only modest relief.

If yours is also MS related paresthesia, talk to your neuro or GP about these and other treatments; some people do get better relief than I am getting.

Yes i can, i had to weat it for 24 hrs and my arms were fine.

But only because I just noticed this pain tonight.  I hope it doesn't get worse, and I hope yours starts to get better!  Like right now!!!!

It's like "  Well, when this ?symptom"  goes away, what will be the next one???? But this is my life now, and I need to get out of the dumps and get back to my positive self!!  And I will.  I wrote myself a note on my handy lil note book to call my neuro and then to send u a message!!

It's great to wave and your own arm waves back...LOL. Actually I just realized the pain is front and back- muscle and wave :D

I will be interested to know what your doc says. I have mentioned this to my GP over the years but she just brushes it off, so I just thought I have very sensitive arms or something. Here is the really weird thing...taking my BP hurts because of it. I don't mean, "ooo that is kind of uncomfortable,' but, "is it over yet? Is it over yet? because I-may-rip-it-off kind of hurt.

Can you have your BP taking w/o pain?

Do they feel like they are bruised? If so, I feel that too. Just on the upper outside chubby (well mine are chubby) part.

Not sure what it is and I am un-dx, but it hurts. Sorry you have that too Kel.
