Back from Boston, Pt 2

....cont'd from Pt 1

The final cost of the Brigham consult was $451….well worth it.  I was actually expecting it to be more.  I must say, it was a totally bizarre feeling for me when I handed them my Mastercard at the clinic, like I’m buying a pair of shoes at Macy’s or something (which I did do, btw!).

So all in all, I am very satisfied that I went, as I received some alternatives to consider regarding current and future treatment, while at the same time, it reinforced my overall confidence in the treatment I am getting in Edmonton.  I look forward to reviewing his report with my regular neuro.

So that’s my trip to Brigham in a nut shell.  A very LARGE nut shell.  BTW, this was my first time to both Boston and Philly, and also Provincetown, we took the ferry over and spent a day there.  LOVED all three cities.  The food, sights and people were all great, everywhere we went.  I was pretty worn out by the end of it, esp with the hot weather, but did fairly well, considering I did more in the last week than I have done in the entire past year.  It was so nice to be traveling again.

Again, sorry this is so long!  I am on my fourth day trying to put this post together; typing is VERY challenging and frustrating for me these days.  Please excuse any errors.

Now I now have lots of reading to catch up on, here on the forum.  Hope everyone is doing well these days.

I am so happy for you that your visit in Boston with the neuro went so well!  It must feel good to know that you have gotten a second opinion and now have the information to think about regarding the next step in your care.  I am very, very happy for you and I hope your MS continues to improve and that you get some relief with that hand of yours!

Lots of Hugs,

Rena
