Brain lesion with numbness on left side of body from bra strap down

I have a patchy increased T2 signal in the periventricular white matter bilterally, with left sided predominance with a confluent area in  the left parietal periventricular and subcortal white matter.  This is suspected as MS.  No other symptoms.  Leg numbness burning pain throughout leg.  Is there a chance that this will heal and could the numbness and burning be coming from this or should I look to other areas such as my hip which feels inflamed.

There's a strong possibility that you have MS with those test results.

Unfortunately neurological damage takes a long time to heal - anywhere from a year to seven years, depending on how much damage there is.

With your numbness, your leg pain, and your hip pain, it's possible you have a lesion in the spine as well.  I would recommend getting an MRI of the spine - preferably 3T, as it's hard to detect lesions with a lower tesla MRI.

If you have any questions, check out our Health Pages (upper right corner of the screen.)  It's got lots of great information, and will help you figure things out.
