OK, good to hear you've seen ENT; good luck at the neurologist's!
thanks for the reply, I have already seen ENT no problems with ears no tumours on acustic nerves, did the manouvre for BPPV no relief, ENT has given all clear and says I need a referal to neurologist. Saw GP today that had the report from the ENT ordered MRI and there is an inconclusive white patch
Sounds like it could possibly be MS, with your symptom of what sounds like Lhermitte's (buzzing when bending head).
Vertigo when rolling over in bed sounds like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Lots of info on the Internet about this--it can usually be cured quickly with a simple series of head maneuvers.
Can you see an ENT (find one specializing in the ears and dizziness) while waiting for the neurologist? Also try to get on the neurologist's cancellation list for a chance to be seen sooner. Be aware that diagnosing a neurological problem can be a long process--even after you get in to see the neurologist. It could take weeks, months, or even years. So, be prepared to wait. Ask your GP for symptomatic treatment in the meantime if you cannot function.
You could possibly have inner ear problems as well as neurological problems. Ear problems certainly wouldn't cause all the symptoms you mention.
Good luck!
Thanks for the reply, so far I have only seen my Gp,he has referred me to a neuro but it could be 3-6 months before I actually get an appointment and the not knowing is driving me nearly as crazy as all these symptoms that seem to be coming thick and fast now
What does your neurologist say about these symptoms?
With a brain MRI that shows definite changes, I'm surprised that your diagnosis is still fibro. Many people end up being diagnosed with fibro first, then later are diagnosed with MS.
This doesn't mean that you have MS - but your symptoms are indicative of something more than fibro.
