Leg symptoms? My right leg feels rubbery, springy, yet weak. Sometimes the knee goes out and my leg folds. I don't have a lot of feeling in the leg - the signals that tell me I'm stepping on it aren't going all the way through.
So basically - myoclonus, spasticity, muscle weakness!
I should have explained mie to.
When i take strps feels very unstable, like i'm stepping on uneven surfaces and my feet feel not flat. More like they are o a pivot. I also get running water feeling in my left lower leg and tingling. Can ache and throb like mad and the more i'm on my feet the more these symptoms are heightened. All makes mobility very difficult.
No loss of power or numbness.
Strange!

Kelly, do you have spinal lesions? i hear these can cause symptoms like those you describe.
My leg problems are more like my leg doesn't respond to the signals from the brain. I'll go to take a step and the leg doesn't move, or if it moves, it wasn't enough or fast enough and I about fall down. Sometimes this is painful because I start to put my weight where my leg isn't and it hurts. Some days it doesn't bother me at all and other days I can hardly walk, like tonight.
If that made any sense.

im not dx waiting on results. I go to take a step and the first leg wobbles like jelly then i go to lift through with my other leg and it wont move, i think my heel comes up as though i'm going to move but i cant move the leg, it feels to me like its swinging in mid air jumping about but i've been told its left on the ground and looks stuck to the floor. If i concentrate really hard i can walk but very slowly and stuffly and only for another few steps before i stick again
Let me start by saying I am sorry you are having to go through this.
I recently went through a time when I would lose control of my left leg. It only lasted about two minutes each time but would happen several times a day. It would start with a tingling/burning sensation in my foot and work its way up my leg. As this happened I would lose control of my leg and be unable to walk normally. It was as if my knee was gone. It felt as if my leg was being filled with hot water. It was painful but in a very odd way. I felt as if during this time my leg was kind of "floppy" but my husband said it was as if my leg was stiff and I couldn't bend it. I went through a 3 day round of Solumedrol and it cleared up - along with stopping all of the MS symptoms I was having at that time. It has been a little over 4 months and I still rarely experience MS symptoms. Just in the past couple of weeks I have felt some of the old familiar tingling in my fingers and the heavy pulse feeling in my tongue (yes, I know that one is crazy!). I have my fingers crossed that we can keep it at this level and not increase. As an FYI, I have been diagnosed with MS and have both spinal and brain lesions. According to my Doc the leg issue came from the spinal lesions.
From what I know spinal lesions can cause a huge variety of sensations and pain in the arms and legs. I have gone through periods where I had terrible pain and/or burning in my legs - to the point that I could hardly walk. Also, lots of pain and burning in my feet. There are times I feel as if I have been dipped in a giant vat of icy-hot. I also go through periods where I feel as if there are electrical currents running through my arms and hands.
Okay, with all this said my point is that the variety of sensations and pain you might experience with MS is unlimited. Everyone you talk to has been through something different. I wish you the very best as you battle your symptoms. Hopefully your doc will be able to do something to help get them under control.
All the best - Kim
Hi Kelly, I don't believe I've welcomed you to the forum yet, so welcome. This is a great place with wonderful people.
I have a wide range of problems with my legs. Hard spasms, feeling of cold spots, numbness, pain, as recently as Oct was rubbing tops of thighs with Icy Hot to try to relieve spasms and discovered I had no sensation at all from the Icy Hot, weird.
I have to concentrate when I walk or I will fall. No uneven ground!! Weakness in legs makes it hard to get up from a seated position. Bath tubs are out for me, can't get up. Stairs are tough due to not being able to raise my legs.
I believe my problems are from spasticity, and spasms, which cause my legs to be really weak. I'm undx so don't have any clinical findings for why. Haven't had a spine MRI as of yet.
Hope this helps, and hope you will stay with us so we can all support you through this process.
Take care,
doni

I had this, except it was in my back! Very weird. It would get worse and worse, and then WHAP! my back would arch or contract - sometimes my neck too.
So my neurologist thought this was basically myoclonus, and I think he's wright. When I've gotten involuntary movement in other parts of my body, it always started with a paresthesia, usually pain. The paresthesia in my back was tingly and buzzy, but not painful, thankfully.
