Copaxon and Medicare Part D

Does anyone out there use Copaxone and have Medicare Part D. If so what is your co-pay?? I need to chose soon and need some ideas as to which option would be best in Part D.

Thanks

I Don't know. If your question ever goes down the page or to the next just write

on post comment.

I have a few years to go before Medicare.  I haven't taken the time to know much about it as I figured it would be so different by then.  Also figured that once I stopped working my days on a DMD would be over.  I sure hope you get some readback that tells me it can be different.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I'm not on a Part D plan but I know a little about them. Your best bet would be to research all the options open to you (these vary from area to area), and find out which ones will cover Copaxone. Then determine what the copays are.

A big problem is the donut hole---the time you would not be covered because you've already spent a certain amount under Medicare, and then you're on your own until Part D kicks in again. That happens very fast when you take such an extremely expensive med. The new health law addresses this somewhat but I'm not sure on what schedule.

Oh the National MS Society may have someone who can guide you to help. I know our local chapter has someone for such questions.
