Serum vs CSF Immunoglobulins

Does anyone know what the clinical correlation is between immunoglobulin levels in the serum versus from a lumbar puncture?  Can one have normal serum values and elevated CSF values and is there any diagnostic credance to serum values on their own.  I have done a lit search for over an hour and I can't seem to find a diffinitive answer.  Thanks in advance!!!  M

Quix, can I assume you are feeling a little better?  I hope so and welcome back.  I am glad you were able to find something specific.  I am a medical science liason in pharma and have access to many online resources (but my area is cv and the neuro sites are sometimes inaccessable).  If you paste the link I may be able to access it.  Of course, I would love to hear your down and dirty interpretation as an MS affected physician.  ( I just had a complete loss of  how to spell physician and it took 6 tries, that seems to happen a lot lately, and the loss of quick word retrival is driving me nuts. )  Glad you are well enough to get back to the keyboard.  What a tremendous resource you are to this forum and it is so very much appreciated!!!  M
