Could it be MS?

I had a daughter 9 weeks ago. While I was pregnant I suffered from sciatic nerve problems. Now I'm still having problems but the pain is not the same as with the sciatic nerve. The pain doesn’t come from the back and shoot down the leg, it seems to start from either the hip or the groin area. I sometimes have a hard time walking, my older kids tell me I'm still waddling. I can't always bear weight on the leg, and it goes from one leg to the next. Sometimes it feels like I can't lift my leg, like something is stopping it from lifting at the hip, to the point where I shuffle my foot on the floor to get around. I've also experienced short term memory problems, which I had associated with the pregnancy but are still there. I've also been having problems with my eyes, going blurry, they hurt and I've noticed that sometimes it feels like one is going one way and the other, the other way. I am also having a hard tme with my hands.  I have no strength in my hands, cant' grip anything and I have a hard time opening things.  Can you advise me please? Thank you.

Thanks for the advice.  I do have a dr's appointment on Friday to see what she thinks of all this.  I hope she can shed some light on this.

Congratulations on the new precious baby girl and welcome to the MS Forum.

Ada gives you perfect advice.  You definiitely need a work up by a qualified Neurologoist to sort out these symptoms you are having.  It does seem that some of your leg problems may be the result of a pinched nerve, but only a doctor that is qualified could make this determination.  Your other symptoms are suggestive of something Neurological going on.

I hope that you will contact your family doctor to get set up to see a Neuro soon.  Please keep us posted on what is going on.  We really DO care.

Again, welcome to the Forum.  We are glad that you joined us, but certainly not glad to hear that you are having such problems.  Please know that you can lean on us for support.  Give that precious baby a hug from all of us.

Hello and Welcome to our Cyber Family!!!  I would definately see your Dr, ASAP!  Your need to have a neuro eval and probably go have an MRI of your spine and brain.  There are a lot of mimics of MS and they will want to rule those out.  Take a look at our health pages, they have priceless information about MS.  Again Welcome to the greatest forum ever!

Your Friend,

Ada
