Does this have to do with anything?

When I read text online, the black text goes grey. I have 20-20 vision, so I don't need glasses. It does this in patches--like I can see that some of the text stays black in parts of the field of vision; the desaturation is really right in the center.

Is this a function of getting older? Or is it something to add to my stupid list of stupid stuff happening to me?

Thanks,

Thanks, Penn. I don't want to see another doctor for a few months at least so am not going to request an ophthamologist referral, but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this. I'm taking an MD break--unless it's my kids who need it.

If anyone else has experience with color desaturation, I'd appreciate the input. This message is going grey as I write, and I just sat down to the computer.

This happens to me as well, also not all the time and the center of the screen. I have been diagnosed with both macular degeneration and optic neuritis, but I do not recall which this is related to.

Sorry not much help.

I guess I should mention that it comes and goes and does not appear to be related with how long I've been staring at the screen. Sometimes, it fires up within minutes...actually, now it usually fires up within minutes.

Thanks,
