Brain Fog??

So, I may just be dumb.  I have had some memory lapses before, or a hard time concentrating.  It happened when I was fighting the chronic headaches - which makes sense.  No one can think straight when they've had a headache for weeks, months, or years on end! I had it when I was on Gabapentin - which is a side effect, so I blew it off.  But the last three days I literally feel like I can't remember second to second.  I'm sure the people at work think I'm nuts!  It comes and goes throughout the day, but it's soooo embarrassing!!!! I'm not stressed any more than normal, I'm well nourished (maybe too well) and I'm not on any new meds.  What gives?

Is this the feeling y'all are talking about when you say "brain fog?"

I have also had the worst fatigue of my life, which we talked about on another thread.

AAAAAAAAAAAAaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!
Heather

I sure hope it goes away soon!  I'm a nutcase!

heather,
It sure sounds like cog fog to me - brain fog can hit without warning and without provocation from what I experience.  It also resolves on its own.

I just had a bunch of bills returned to me for postage - I know they need stamps but mailed them anyway!  :-)

The one thing I do find though is the more pressure I put on myself about the cognitive functions not working, the worse it becomes.  If you can just accept it for now in a passive way, perhaps it will get better.  Pressure to perform is one of my worst enemies.

This is where post-it notes, pocket recorders, and dayplanners come in very necessary.

feel better,
Lulu

I too have brain fog...it comes and goes.  And, yes, I too find it embarrassing.  My former docs wrote it off to my age.  My new docs are quite different.  There are lots of conditions and medications that can cause the fog.  MS is one of them.  Keep trying to find answers for yourself.  You do not sound 'dumb' to me at all.  Charley.
