My doc's research centers on the cause. He says if we know the cause finding a cure is much easier.

Hear, hear! The EAE mouse model isn't perfect.
I would like to see NMSS throw more money into finding the cause of MS, rather than funding Big Pharma to develop their "band-aids" that they come up with. Don't get me wrong, I like my Tysabri, but I think we can do so much better when we have a cause identified.
I enjoyed reading the "readers comments" below the article. I too get frustrated when research doesn't start with the question - "what causes this disease?" But - I ask for way too much.
Interesting - thanks
Thanks, Kyle! Reminds me to ask my doc for that fish-oil script!
I was talking to someone about this recently too. Thanks Kyle!
Interesting....and promising! All of my doctors recommend taking Omega 3 fatty acid supplements, as does my mother's cardiologist. Seems there is really something to this anti-inflammatory mechanism. Not sure if the OTC supplements in their current form and dose deliver results anything similar to what was found in this study, but I'll keep taking them in the understanding that they're beneficial, and look forward to more research on the horizon.
Thank you Kyle, for sharing. :-)
