I looked at the post times . . . and they were an hour different I have no idea how I missed your post (LOL). Add that to the list of my GOOFY symptoms :-)
We must have posted at the same time, because I'm just now seeing your post.
I'm glad you mentioned that your tests were also normal. I've been playing that "Did I just imagine this?" game. I long to better understand what causes all of these goofy symptoms. Most of mine are not uncomfortable, just annoying - but after a while it really starts to wear on my mind.
Have a good weekend.
Sherry
Thank you both. This is only the third time I've had my eyes dilated. My husband always seems to be back to normal in about an hour, so I was caught off guard. I do believe that the vertigo was caused by the long period of "out of focus" vision - I'll ask the neuro next week.
Thanks again,
Sherry
Hi Sherry,
those drops are pretty long lasting. Just protect your eyes from bright lights and don't try reading or doing too much eye work until the drug wears off.
I've been having visual symptoms for ages (at least it doesn't seem to be progressive), and have had numerous retinal exams - all normal. Am glad your neuro thinks the eye stuff is significant. Mine didn't.
Seems am having some issues with depth and it makes me feel dizzy and a bit nauseous - can't tell if it is due to my new glasses, or is my eyes.... am taking a wait and see approach.
Let us know how you go with your neuro next week.

I work in a retinal practice. 4-6 hours in "normal" However some people are still 10 hours later, me being one of them. When I tried the wonderful reversing drops (no longer avail.) it actually kept them dilated for 12 hours, go figure.
I have not been diagnosed yet so can not say if it is MS related or not but I do have a lot of eye problems. My eyes have been dilated so many times that I'm surprised that they have not just stayed that way. haha
I have found that some times it seemed like quite a while before by eyes were back to normal after being dilated. I have gone up to 10 hours with the feeling that they overdosed me or something. Other times it seems to go back to normal within a reasonable time.
I have finally come to the realization that when I'm having my other symptoms and get my eyes dilated, that is when it appears to take longer for them to go back to normal. I don't know if it is coincidence or not or if it means anything at all.
Sorry I am of no help here, but I just wanted you to know you were not alone in this.
