Can you send this doc. my way!! LOL , thats great he took the time to listen to you, and not pass you off . Good luck to you in getting the answers you need!
Pam
It sounds like your finally getting somewhere, absolutely great that he's listening and not being dismissive, i hope you dont have to wait too long for the answer. Please try and keep smiling, no matter what the out come :-) it might be a good idea to make sure you have someone with you at the follow up appointment, even if it just gives you some moral support.
Cheers..............JJ
BINGO! That's the kind of doctor we all need to find. They ARE out there.
Quix (you guys are impossible to take a break from. You are too special)
I think this neuro sounds great Bairdy. He was thorough and allowed you to tell your story. That's wonderful. Someone will contact you within 2-3 days to set up your MRI's.

This neuro sounds like a good guy. He didn't pull any punches and ordered to appropriate testing. Did he mention any blood work to rule out mimics or had that already been done by the last guy?
I'd say that this was a successful and producting first visit. Wait for them to contact you about the testing, but don't wait too long. If you don't hear about the MRI within a week, call and pester them if that's possible with your insurance system.
Stick to this path and hope this time it will lead you in the right direction with an ultimate dx. Wouldn't that finally bring some relief.
Juile
thanks folks finnally getting somewhere
regards bairdy
Wow I am so happy that he listened to you and did a thorough exam. He sounds like he is going to do what needs to be done. Good for you. Hopefully the new MRI's and the LP will get you the dx so you can maybe get some relief.
I know that having MS is not what anyone wants but just having a name to what is going on is a relief in itself, and then when you start the DMD's and hopefully slow the relapses you will start feeling better.
Good luck and keep us informed.
Paula
Yay! Sounds like a keeper.
