Welcome New Member to the Forum: Nikcay

All,

I want to introduce you to a new member who was dx'd with MS 10 - 11 years. He was fortunate enough to be accepted into a study that saved him. He was blind, paralyzed and so much more. He has posted a bit of his story on his page below. Pick his brain - he's amazing, and welcome him in the way we do best :)!

Hello Everyone!! Thank You for all your kind "welcomes"! I'm pretty sure I don't know everything, you can ask my wife to confirm that!! hahaha But if you are interrested, and send me a note, I'll be happy to share my experiences, and what I do to stay (my version of) healthy!!
For the time being, I hope you are all having a happy and HEALTHY day!! As sllowe suggests, get outside in this awesome weather!! Do something fun, or just relax with friends or a hobby. Hope to talk to you all in the future!! Matt K.

Hi Nikcay, I am slow in greeting you and I see others have already extended a nice welcome  so I can just join in the bunch here.

Stem cell research is fascinating to me and I have followed the news from Northwestern, even before I was dx'd with MS. I think it holds the potential to unlock and reverse this disease and your story adds to that body of evidence.

When you get the energy and time, I hope you will join in here and share more of your life experiences.

again, welcome to this great community.  I hope we'll see you around.

best, Lulu

Hey there, Nikcay-

I just wanted to add my welcome to our forum, too.  I second what everyone else has stated about how inspirational you are.  What a struggling path you have been on!

I am very happy that the stem cells worked for you and have shown signs of improvement.  That is very encouraging and must be of some pretty great relief to you.

Again, welcome to our wonderful little corner on the web.  I will enjoy getting to know you better.

Hugs,
Addi

Big Hugs and a Warm Welcome to you!! Its truley amazing what life hands you, and how you deal with it. Staying positive is so very important to getting well. Every now and then I have a pitty party, but then when I am done with the good cry and the feeling sorry for myself, I dust myself off and try again.
Glad to hear that the stem cell and diet changes made a huge difference for you. Your story is an inspiration. I just finished my story today and posted it in my journal, It's loooong, but its everything!!!!!!
Take Care and hope to talk to you soon,
Pam

So nice to meet you Nickay. I am new here too.

I am amazed at your story! My husband left me too after my first "attack" when i was 26 for a "healthier girl" so I feel for you, (I am since remarried). I remain un-dx to date but still think your advice is good for us limbolanders. I look forward to hearing more from you here!! Thanks for your inspiration!!

You know I read your story "AFTER" I wrote the first response and all I can say now is "wow" to you and the trials and tribulations you have gone through to get where you are now.  See to me, God doesn't give us anything we can not handle and you did it!  With all odds against you.

What a miraculous event in your life and I am so glad the stem cell worked for you!!!!

You are to be envied with your positive and persistence throughout this entire nightmare!

Welcome again!!!

Lisa
