Update: I did have the MRI

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for responding to my recent question on symptoms.  I did go ahead and have the MRI.  If it does not show anything I am not sure if I will go any further unless things get worse, but I do feel better having had it!  I did want to say to those who have been blown off by doctors - keep trying to find a good doctor.  I went to the neuro with both barrels loaded thinking I would have to embelish a little to get the attention I wanted, but it wasn't necessary.  The symptoms spoke for themselves and the doctor suggested a head MRI followed by a spine MRI if the head one does not show anything.  She also ordered blood work.  So I feel like I am getting the best care I can right now.  Hopefully each of you can find a good neuro!

Have a blessed day!

Hi there,

Oh, I misinterpreted.  I was thinking the brain came clear, and you'd already be inline for the spine.....

Anywho, I'm feeling the same as you with your Dr.  Sounds to me that Dr took your symptoms and exam seriously, wheeeeewwww...big sigh of relieve for you! Yay!

I was dx'd last year, after what seemed like I had a stroke.  I knew nothing about MS until I found this family here. Don't know where I'd be without everyone here.  More than likely, completely lost in denial...lol...simply due to lack of education and knowledge of the disease.  I thought all the Drs were wrong.  Fought them tooth and nail over the dx.  What a nit-wit ha/ha.....

I don't know why they didn't order both for you too.  I can't figure out the rationale in sending a person back and forth for that. To me, once you are in there - just have at it durrnit, get it over with.

The first MRI was just of the brain.  The doctor said that she would order a spine one if the brain one did not show anything.  I don't know why they don't do it all at once - what is an extra 15 minutes in the machine (LOL!).  I don't know how long it will take to get the results - hopefully not more than a week!  Have you been diagnosed?

Hello there!

So glad you went.  So was this just the Brain? And, now you will go for the spine?  And, thank you for lending thoughts on moving forward and continuing.  Very encouraging and important.

Seing blessings back at you!
