What did the doctor say??? Hope all is well.
I am very curious, I have had my full spine and brain imaged and they usually do my brain, send me away for a bit, like to have lunch or something and then come back and do my cervical and thoracic as they think it is too long to make you lay still, I have had them stop once part way through but that was because the machine broke.
Weird, will be interested on your update.
Cheers,
Udkas
So what did the doctor say?
Hope all is okay.

I was thinking if it was anything serious they would of admitted you so its probably a technical type problem and not that they found aliens playing ping pong with your brain. sorry for trying to make light of this because i do realise it would be rather unsettling to say the least but if you can, try not to get too worried about something that may be nothing at all.
Cheers..........JJ
PS when you speak to your dr, it might be a good idea to arrange for the technician to get a flogging or at least training on how to deal with similar situations in the future.
I can only think of a couple of things. Most of the time, they would just keep imaging. Unexplained artifact or metal movement within the image could cause a stop. So could body tremor or uncontrolled movement. The only other thing is a patient complaint of "heat" or other indication that the SAR is being exceeded.
I can't think of any pathology (disease) that would stop MRI imaging. Even a "post GAD" discovery of a bleed would result in an admission, and they might continue the imaging. It doesn't sound like they even got to the contrast images, so that is out.

I have never had a MRI where a tech interrupted the test because "they had to stop the MRI".
Honestly, if it were me, I would think something is up. I didnt think he could complete the Brain, cervical and thoracic spine in 30 minutes, but --- maybe he did....? COBOB would be the expert on that --- however, I highly doubt that is the reason.
The possibility that the tech guy is freaky....well, lets just say I dont think that's the case.
What time are you going to call your MD in the morning? 9 am sharp if it was me --- I'd ask, "Why would the tech stop the MRI mid test, telling me "they needed to stop the MRI and to call you in the morning" What is going on?
Now you must let us know what is going on after you speak to your doctor!!!
