First you have to make sure you have your forum pages set to "Last Post" (and not to 'date started")  This is chosen in the box right at the top of the dicussion section on the first page.

Then EVERY time anyone posts in answer to a question (or thread) that post will zoom to the top of the first page!  It doesn't matter what you say in your response, Bump, or Wanklewinger or even  )*)(_+)*(%$&((*&%%$$!

When I wrote this at about 3:55 am EST, it became the first post on the first page.  (until the next person answers a post or a new Question is posted, then it moves down the page.  But, YOU HAVE to have the setting right (on "Last Post").

This way, you can stay on the first page and read all the newest responses/posts.

ANY message will "bump" up any Discussion (what I refer to as Threads).  We write bump only to show people that we wished the Discussion to become available to read again.  We do this if it contains a good answer to a person's Question, or to bring up the topic again or to share past info.

Have fun.

And please remember that there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Looking at my answer, however...It doesn't seem to make much sense now that I've read it back.  haha

You just go to the next post, and type "bump".  (on the post that you want bumped).
