It is my thoracic spine sorry thanks for info
Good! Some steps in the right direction.
I haven't heard the expression 'radiological MS,' but the concept is quite familiar. It's very possible to have lots of lesions on the brain and no MS symptoms. The lesions have to be in the right (or actually wrong) places to have negative effects. Many areas of the brain seem to be 'silent' in this regard. All of which is good, or many of us here would be a lot worse off than we are. Lesions on the spinal cord seem to be more 'eloquent,' meaning if they're there, we'll hear from them.
I'm not clear on why your neuro is ordering an MRI of the lumbar spine and not the thoracic spine. Lumbar problems are not part of MS, since the spinal cord ends just above this point. The thoracic area does contain the spinal cord. Does he suspect you have a problem other than MS?
Good luck with all of this and please keep us posted.
