IVIg & the side effects...plus when do you feel if its working?

Last week I had my second IVIg treatment. I did a little better with the side effects from it, but I still maintained a migraine for 5 days. These migraines are unlike any migraine I have ever had. On Sunday I could even move my head without crying and my migraine meds were not touching it. I also am not getting any relief from my flare up. I guess I have a e part question...1. Are the side effects normal or do they get better? And 2. Should I be feeling any relief from 2 treatments? If not, when can I expect some light at the end of this very dark tunnel?  My pain is unbearable and my sight just seems to be getting worse everyday. I'm scared. Please help...

Hi Keely

I'm sorry I have never had an IVig treatment before but my son has a rare autoimmune disorder and has to have them from time to time.

For him, it's horrible but it's the only choice we have. It causes him to run a high fever, severe headache, high heart rate etc.

I'm with Ren. You can also type IVig in the upper right search box and it will bring up several options to help answer your questions.Have you talked to your dr? I'd call and talk to them if you haven't already.
