Surgery Over, TY for your prayers

I wanted to thank you all for your wonderful prayers, before my recent Septoplasty and sinus surgery. As I lay waiting for my turn in the operating room, I recalled them to my mind, and took great comfort, knowing you were all there for me, and my Surgeon. The surgery lasted a little longer than normal, 5 hours. I got home and went straight to bed. Didn't even eat until next day about 10:00 am. Just wasn't hungry.(Sure wish that would last, LOL!). My brother and sister-in-law picked me up Thurs aft and took me to their mountain home.....No landlines, no TV, and "HORRORS" no internet! I cam home today, 2 days early, as my sis has to go to a double funeral tomorrow.

My recovery is going as good as can be expected. Still a lot of pain and swelling, even with the steroids, vicodine for pain. The worst is the treat of flushing out the sinus caavities every 2 hours. There is a squeeze bottle involved, saline solution, and blood, clots, and snot running between the sinus cavities, eye sockets, and mouth. You all get the picture. To make matters more painful, we are having thunderstorms, and low barometric pressure. Not a lot of fun. I'm sure glad I took this whole week off of work.

Again, thank you so much for the prayers, you are all so special to me.

Maggie

How do you stand these Steroids!!!!! I stayed up all night after I posted last night....literally!!! I couldn't go to bed until 7:30 this morning! Then back up at 11. Had to go get allergy shot, went to Wal-Mart, always an exciting outing, picked up a pizza, came home cooked it ate, and watched a DVD. But here it is 11:20, and again I'm not sleepy.. Thank God tomorrow is last day of steroids. I want to sleep! And quit eating my head off! Altho if I keep eating my head off, maybe it won't hurt so bad.Nose still hard to breathe through, still short of breathe, but surviving. Physically hurting and tired, but sure not sleepy. Makes me wonder what the Vicodine and Steroids are getting up to running around my blood stream, LOL

Hugs & Prayers to all, Maggie

I'm glad it went well, but oh, how this must be a tough recovery.  You are one strong cookie.

I look forward to the day you tell us you are breathing clearly and feeling healed from this.
