My recovery is going well

Thank you all dear people for your wonderful thoughts and prayers.
I think the hard physical prep of biking, running, and lifting weights has really helped me in my recovery.

I'm now 7 hours post operation and feeling great! I do have a bit of a headache (doh!) and get tired after 5 or 10 minutes of writing but I'm extremely happy and pleased with how it's turning out so far. I know early days.

The nurse commented that I'm the best crani patient she has seen in recovery.

I wasn't allowed jewellery but carried a precious stone with a cross that worked that like a treat. As soon as I pulled it out of my pocket and held in my hand a deep sense of peace came over me. It was magical!

I'm in a ward with 3 other people including a delirious old man who asks to get up every 30 minutes and if his son has phoned. Poor man cannot help it but I have now retrieved ear plugs from my bag. So sweet dreams!

Blessings
Alex

great to see you - hope the earplugs work and you get lots of good sleep over the next few years.  Give that brain some rest and quiet time, ok?  hugs, Laura

PS yes, being in good condition does make healing go faster most of the time and you are reaping the benefits of all those miles.

That's great news. I'm glad you doing so well. Rest lots & if you can't because of the noise levels try an MP3 player or iPod ( if available ) with relaxation music on it or whatever your preference is.

(((HUGS))) Karry.
