Autoinjector, titration schedule approved for Avonex

I haven't self-injected for the last 20 or 30 shots, but now maybe I'll try it again in the near future.

Many patients have titrated anyway (I didn't), but the new optional schedule and device for that will probably make the practice more prevalent. Not a bad idea.

My sister is on Avonex and is so excited about the autoinjector. She doesn't have one yet because they aren't available in out area yet but she can't wait to get one!

I'm all for anything that makes injecting easier to comply w/dosing meds!

I just called the Avonex support line (1-800-456-2255) and got a message saying that everyone was in a training meeting. No big surprise there. The message also said that Biogen would be bringing the Avonex Pen into the market about May 1, and that of course their www.avonex.com website would be updated as things progress.
