Hello my Mser's and Limbolander friends. I haven't been on here in awhile, but I wanted to know if you are familiar with the medication "Nuvigil". My neurologist recently prescribed this Rx for me. It's to help with tiredness and fatigue that come with MS. I've been on it a week and it is working very well. I notice an increase in energy and my cognitive abilities are sharper and clearer. thanks bob. i'll ask my neuro here about it as the fatigue is coming on strong these days as they alwasy did before. i'm tired of taking caffeine pills for this. since i now know what is causing this, i want to try it. the other cog med i take works sometimes and sometimes not.

of course my neuro said he wanted me to try life with out the med because he doesn't like Rxing the type med you mentioned.

oh well, i'll ask. i get so uptight getting near a VA it is like a nemisis to me. MS centers of excellence my arse.

hi i take this drug my neuro prescribed it for me as well.here it is called alertec where i live that is. yes i dont mind it either it helps for driving as i find i am easily distracted seems to help with the fatigue.

Would have been nice, but no, I didn't notice a decrease in appetite with Nuvigil.

hmmm I hadn't noticed an appetite change at all...did anyone else?

I forgot and wanted to add that if you want or are trying to lose weight! Nuvigil really curbs your appetite.
