Lamictal/anti seizure meds

Im taking lamictal to try and see if it helps with neuropathic pain, I am not diagnosed with ms,actually just started to look at the possibility last week due to vision issues and normal eye exam.

Well my doc said to stop taking my lamictal to see if it helped with my vision issues and if vision issues persist then test for ms.

Well, I have gotten much worse since stopping as far as my pain and fatigue,i beleive this really helped me with both if these although did not provide full relief I could def see the benefit especially with the fatigue.

Does anyone one here take an anti seizure med and does it help with your pain and fatigue ? Also ever caused eye blurriness in one eye?

I never experienced any side effects from lamictal and my hysband suffers from bp2 also and takes it without any side effects. I tried nuerontin made me feel awful.

So tired, but lamictal helped me from not being able to drive to work even after a full nights sleep, to being almost normal as far as fatigue goes. I'm afraid to try lyrica because I already have weight issues and a major side effect is weight gain.

I have been on lamictal for 4 months and the higher the dose I felt better, but a felt like my mood was suffering like I was getting snappy.

So I started to decrease my lamictal from 200 now took nothing and since stopping I feel awful tired ness is back and pain with a vengence!.

I am still having vision issues, but it has only been 3 days.  If it were caused  by lamictal, how long would it take to return to normal? I'm pretty sure its NOT lamictal and the blurry vision is only on one eye i don't think that would cause vision issues in one eye only if it agree lamictal? Maybe I'm wrong?

Hi, I have not been diagnosed with MS actually finally getting to see the neurologist this week after waiting 7 months for my appt. I do however take Lamictal 2x day for BP2. My Gp lowered my dose a month ago to see if it was causing my issues but everything is about the same. Some of my issues include left eye blurry vision, left side body pain, cognitive issues,  tremors, visual and auditory disturbances, numbness and tingling and extreme fatigue. Initial thoughts from the GP were that it was a complicated migraine as symptoms at first were just around menstrual cycle but now have been ongoing since Dec 14.

Hello
I myself have to take 400 mg of Lamictal daily. The process to come to this dose was a hell, because nausea ,vision issue and other neurologic phaenomena.I have taken this by seazure. First beginning with 10 mg than about 3 month every week something more. You see a vast range of harmfull side-effects.Your brain-function is lowering, but sometimes you feel better. To treat neuropathic pain,I prefer pregabalin (In Germany : Lyrica) It stops not only the pain ,but is also ab very good against depressions.

With best regard
