Lyrica Allergy Rash / Muscle Cramps

Hi all, hope you guys are awesome and enjoying Easter/Passover/etc.

I had to pop in and see if any one else taking or that took Lyrica ever experienced rash...  I've had a horrible rash that's scaly, red and will puss up, almost like a burn.  I had it for a few days before I saw a doctor (I'm never without a rash, so I wasn't concerned at first) and she said it could be viral or it could be an allergic reaction to the Lyrica I started at the end of January.  I'm on a medication to see if it resolves the rash and it's gone down but not away; she said if it went away with the med it was viral and if it didn't it could be Lyrica.

Seeing as Lyrica is the only drug I've had that has helped me and  been my "miracle drug," I'm going to stay on it regardless.  I'm actually doing so well, I'm starting to feel temperature on my feet again and haven't had crazy burning in them for a while!

On another subject:  I have crazy random muscle cramps.  Think Charlie Horse x1000 in my toes up my feet, ankles and calves and sometimes in my thighs and hands.  I actually have been having problems with my lower back and neck/shoulder, too.  I've repeatedly asked my neurologist (one of the best in the area) about this and she doesn't think it's related and advised me to take magnesium, which I have and I haven't improved.

Has anyone else experiences mind blowingly painful cramps that last anywhere from a few seconds to several hours?

Thanks,

- tree

Thanks for the reply.  :P  I browse the forum nearly every day, I just feel like I don't have a lot to put in because I've not tried so many medications, had MS, etc.  I'm here in the shadows!

Hey Stranger,

I'm about out of steam and just popped on quickly, but wanted to say hello. Helloooo!

I'm glad that rash is backing down - sounds like a bad one.

I've had the spasms in my feet and in my back.  And, they can be caused by many things. MSers get them alot .

I've heard lots of good things about the Lyrica.  I pray it's not the cause of your rash.  I learned from our Doc Q that you can get allergic to anything, at any given time.

Thanks for coming back! You should know better not to stay away so long! -shell
